About the Academys

Over the last 10 years, Cristina Bernardino has specialised in paramedical micropigmentation in the UK, working with plastic surgery clinics and, in some cases, with hospitals within the National Health Service (NHS). In 2016, she began her journey into the world of micropigmentation training, having already been working in the field of aesthetics and cosmetics since 2000.

At RemakeUp, our mission is to provide micropigmentation to everyone who can benefit from such a fantastic treatment, through our professionals and our trainees. In delivering this programme of training courses, workshops and masterclasses on micropigmentation, aesthetics and cosmetics, our main aim is to provide sessions and training based on best practice, grounded in existing theory, and tailored to the circumstances, skills and level of each trainee, with a view to helping them build a highly successful career. As such, we have developed a training programme that can be delivered in Portuguese and English, and which combines online and face-to-face sessions (blended learning). In 2021, we expanded our operations in Portugal, forging new partnerships and developing new training materials.

Social Responsibility

ReMakeUp Academy places a strategic emphasis on training that not only provides high-quality skills but also instils a sense of social responsibility in our trainees.

To that end, we share the experience of our Glasgow Clinic, which operates as a social enterprise established to support individuals experiencing psychological distress resulting from the physical effects of medical conditions such as cancer, alopecia, or their associated treatments. We provide permanent makeup services as an allied healthcare solution, helping people regain their confidence and rebuild their self-esteem as they recover from hair loss due to alopecia or cancer, undergoing nipple and areola reconstruction following breast cancer surgery, among other conditions.
